Physical therapy for pediatric patients is a crucial aspect of their overall healthcare. Through a combination of therapeutic exercises, activities, and techniques, physical therapists aim to improve a child's strength, mobility, and overall physical function. Whether a child is recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or learning to navigate developmental challenges, pediatric physical therapy plays a vital role in promoting a child's physical well-being.
Pediatric feeding and swallowing therapy helps children with eating, drinking, and swallowing difficulties. Our therapists create individualized plans to address sensory problems (i.e. texture aversions, increasing volume & variety of foods, etc.) and improve oral motor skills (i.e. chewing, self-feeding skills, etc.). Our feeding therapists also work to improve swallowing dysfunction (i.e. aspiration, receiving a modified diet, transitioning from tube to oral feedings, etc.). Feeding therapy is crucial for children's health and well-being. If your child has feeding concerns, our therapist will collaborate with your pediatrician and family to make mealtimes successful & a positive experience!
